Recently I needed to customize a Flickr Badge that was being displayed on a client's website. Namely the client needed the image links to open in a new window as well as include the image description underneath the photo.

Creating markup for email can be a challenging task considering the wide variance of email clients as well as the intricacies from version to version within each client. I've compiled a general list which contains tips and best practices to aid in creating a successful html email. The list is far from exhaustive - but hopefully this should get you pointed in the right direction when creating your markup.
HTML for email guidelines
- Emails must be produced in table format (Think how you used to do front end back in 2001)
- Email width should be around 600px.
- Keep the design and subsequent mark-up simple.

When laying out elements in responsive design, in rare circumstances you may need to physically reposition an element when the screen size is within certain dimensions. E.G. (I need the div with the id="one" to be underneath the div with the id="three"). A particular use case for this would be "I have a utility menu that displays on the top of each page, when the user views the site on mobile, I would like the utility menu to display on the bottom of the screen." So in essence what we would like to accomplish is:
